I'm starting this project how I started this year - full fucking racket!

On Jan 10th Who Let The Dogs Out was released into the world, and straight onto my playlist. Unapologetic, high-energy and more thrilling than licking a 9v battery, Lambrini Girls were my go-to for summer. What better way to kick the year off than a lung-bursting sing along to Cunty?

Several months later and we are still raging about the objectification and fetishisation of women's bodies. Hello, it's 2025, can society catch up with actually respecting women?
Panic Shack's self-titled album covers the gamut of existing in a patriarchal world and constantly in a state of being under the male gaze. A world that encourages eating disorders, discourages pockets, generates anxiety over selfies, and demands an unattainable level of perfectionism. It's absolutely as tongue-in-cheek as it is bile-fuelled. My personal fav from the album is Tit School.

Adding to the list of favourite grrrls, is Problem Patterns. Hailing from Northern Ireland they have as much, if not more, attitude as their British counterparts. Letter of Resignation is the perfect middle-finger I have dreamt of flipping more than once. An anthem of defiance against injustice and discrimination. It's queer liberation with fun and chaos.
